Sheep River/ Bluerock Creek Collection
BLUE DROP
This is the first of a series of paintings inspired by the Blue Rock Wildlands and Sheep River Provincial park in Kananaskis Alberta. I loved the shape of the rock, so smooth from the centuries of constant flow of water. It changes it's path, just a little, every year creating these undulous shapes.![]() |

INDIAN OILS
Sitting in front of a waterfall watching the weight of the water pound the rocks relentlessly is an incredible feeling. This river could tell many stories about it's ever changing path from the mountains out to the prairies. I painted this one after a plein air watercolour experience when I was struggling with my health last summer.INDIAN OILS, $300.00CAD 18"x24" Acrylic on Canvas |
THE RIVER BELOW
After a day of picnicking letting the kids paddle in the water while you quietly read your book on a hot summer day. You pack up your things for the day and take one last look behind you as you head back up the trail that takes you home. The light falling through the deep canyon and shimmering in the water seals the happy memory forever in your heart.
